Rewind - 2024 [Worse, Good, Reflection, and Confidence of building the world's biggest Healthcare company]

I can’t believe we are already in a new human-made fragment of the continuous stream - the Year 2025. I wonder what the human method was to reflect and measure the progress before the invention of weeks, months, and years.   


It feels like only yesterday was the beginning of 2024 and today is 2025, unfortunately, time is rigid and there is no way any of us can make any adjustment - we all are left with “Just Now”. 


However, reflection of the past which we can’t bring back is a good way to keep improving our “Just Now”. For example, I am writing this essay on a weekend in a cafe based on the realisation that I can’t bring back any lost single second.


So, here is the reflection of 2024: the hits and missed: 


I have accepted the brutal truth, everything can go south, but if I made sure to get better, a minimum of 100X, each year, “the score would take care of itself”. Therefore, the first part of the essay is about books, podcasts, and writing.

  • I invested INR 32,603 across 68 books 

  • I read 65 books [I was low on money therefore, no way I could afford to stack books. This number also reflects I have improved my book selections]   

  • I reread 2 books [These are the books that I reread every year, now that number is seven] 


This is better than 2023 - I only read 45 books.

[Writing]


The best aspect of reading diverse topics is that you will end up writing a lot. Initially, I used to write notes, but that was inefficient so now I make notes on the book. Still, when I feel the book notes will not be enough, I write on Google Docs.

  • Non-published essays 45, these are the essays that are written for clarity of thought. I don’t publish 60 to 70% of my writing 


The target was to publish one essay each week, I achieved only 50% of my target. I will write more in 2025. 


[Podcast


I love podcasts because they convert mundane work such as traveling, working, and boredom into productive ones. For me, podcasts are methods to learn about completely different subjects - science, art, math, philosophy, politics, history etc.  


I listened to 3,481 minutes of podcasts, and as I listen to mostly at 2X, I consumed 6,972 minutes (116 hours) of high-quality content from the following Podcasts.

  2. Inner Cosmos with David Eagleman 

  3. Good Bad Billionaire

  4. ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash 

  5. The Joy of Why 


I have controlled my input, and I could see the outcomes. Last year, I wanted to be 100X, I think I am 20X of what I was in 2023. 


[Health]

In 2024, I could feel my tight muscles and this is the outcome of almost daily workouts. I am currently, 67KG and the target for 2025 is to gain 5KG muscles. 


[Jilo Health


2024, ended up with a very high note for Jilo Health. We struggled to find the PMF for the initial 20 months, however, the development and progress in the last 3 months made us realise - we have an opportunity to build “the world’s biggest Healthcare company from India”. 



My aspiration for 2025 is to be 100X of what I was at the end of 2024 because that is something I can control even though control is an illusion.
